Connect open beta
Public signup for the Connect open beta is available. Create an account with your email address and a password. Connect will prepare a small hosted Markdown collection so you can open the editor and start exploring.
A one-time verification link is sent before Connect asks for your name, password, and agreement to the service terms. Verification links expire after one hour.
Connect has no availability guarantee during the open beta. Keep independent backups of important collections.
- Hosted allowance
- Open-beta accounts include 1 GiB of hosted storage and up to three hosted collections. The starter collection uses one of those slots. Local collections do not use this allowance.
- App permissions
- Applications receive no collection access until you choose a collection and approve their requested operations.
- Existing invitations
- Invitation links already delivered remain valid until the expiry shown in the invitation email.

The mdbase specification and local tools remain open source and do not require a Connect account. You can also download Connect or try the SDK locally.
