Applications are the tools used to view and change an mdbase collection. They access the same Markdown records through mdbase Connect, whether the collection is hosted by Connect or served from your computer by the Connector.

Application developers can use the Connect SDK for authorization, collection selection, operations, and change feeds. Application manifests declare required contracts and permissions.
