Delete a Connect account

Permanently delete your mdbase Connect account and hosted data. These steps also apply if you use mdbase Connect through TaskNotes.

Open Connect account settings

How to delete your account

  1. Open Connect account settings and sign in to the mdbase Connect account you want to delete. TaskNotes users should sign in with the Connect account linked to TaskNotes.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Reauthenticate when prompted.
  4. Type DELETE, then confirm the permanent account deletion.

Data that is deleted

Deleting your mdbase Connect account permanently removes:

  • Your Connect account and sign-in methods.
  • Browser sessions.
  • Application access and grants, including access previously granted to TaskNotes.
  • Connected computers.
  • Hosted collections and the records, files, and other hosted data stored in them.

Hosted access and control-plane state are removed immediately. Durable cleanup of hosted data then continues automatically in the background.

Data that is not deleted or may be retained

  • Local collection and mirror files on your own computers are not deleted. Delete those local copies yourself if you no longer want them.
  • Security or audit records necessary to document the deletion, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations may remain. During the open beta, mdbase Connect does not promise a fixed retention period for these records.

Delete data without deleting your account

You can delete individual records or files, or delete individual hosted collections, without deleting your mdbase Connect account. Use the relevant application or collection-management controls to remove only the data you choose.
